DataSafe is a business grade remote backup software product that helps
ensure your mission critical business data is securely and automatically
backed up offsite. You install Generations DataSafe on one or more of
your computers, and after an initial full backup, only files that change
are backed up. Multiple revisions of files are saved with the user
option to set the number of revisions for each file.

Q: What are the system
requirements?
A: 32-bit Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP, Server
2003, Server 2008. 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, Server 2003,
Server 2008.
Q: How is my data secured?
A: Data is secured prior to transmission and remains
encrypted. Only the computer transmitting the data has the ability
to recover it. In the case of a hard drive failure to the
computer, we will send you the encryption key so the data may be
recovered on another computer. By default the encryption keys are
stored securely in the security
vault. If you request, we can send you a copy of the
encryption key and permanently delete our copy. However, if you do this
and lose your key, there will be no way to recover your data (if the key
in your posession is lost or destroyed).
Q: Do I have to be a Generations customer to use DataSafe?
A: No, it is a separate product available for anyone needing a secure, HIPAA compliant remote backup solution.
